MAY 5, 1997 - JUNE 6, 1997
During this reporting period, there were 372 recorded telephone
calls to the Village Manager' s Office.
• Met with Director of Public Works and Stormwater Utility
Coordinator to finalize Stormwater Utility Budget at 10: 00 a.m.
on May 5 . 1
• Met with Attorneys and interested parties at Gallery Square
North to review specifics of Seabrook Road improvements on
adjacent property at 9 : 30 a.m. on May 7 . •
• Attended the Budget Review Meeting for the Water Department at
10 :00 a.m. on May 7 .

• Attended the Regional Roadway Mediation Meeting at 6 : 30 p.m. on
May 7 .
• Attended the Village Council Meeting at '7 : 00 p.m. on May 8 .
• Attended the Public Safety Committee Meeting at 4 : 00 p.m. on
May 9 .
• Attended the Finance & Administration Committee Meeting at 8 : 30
a.m. on May 12 .
• • Met with Village Planner at 2 : 30 p.m. to outline plans for
Village Center Charrette on May 12 .
• A Staff Meeting was conducted at 10 : 00 a.m. on May 13., 1997,
wherein the following items were discussed: -
1 . The , Director of Community Development was requested to
• ' reduce vacation balance.

2 —Director of Finance indicated that ICMA contributions
were now being made bi-weekly by electronic funds '
transfer.
3 . Water System Manager instructed to contact Nozzle Nolen
to 'secure an ingress/egress easement to Water Department
property from south.
4 . Thei Water System Manager provided an up-date on the
Village . Manager requested Leak Detection 'Program for
subaqueous crossings .
5. Water System Manager requested to provide. engineering
estimate of space left for FPL on Old Dixie Highway with
engineer to do written report.

6 . Water System Manager requested to proceed with formal
adoption of Tequesta Water Department Service Area.
7 . Chief of Police requested to pursue holding Bike Rodeo in
Tequesta Park. , •
8 . Director of Finance requested to distribute telephone .
bills .to all Department Heads on monthly basis for
internal audit.
9 . Director of Finance requested to bring forward any dental
and life insurance contracts necessary to effectuate
recent changes .
10 . Water System Manager was advised that electrical service
to new light pole at new garage was above ground.
11 . Director of __Community Development was advised that the
Board of Adjustment was embarrassed about lack of quorum
and for his staff to call in advance of said meetings to
ensure necessary attendance of Board Members .,
12 . Director of Finance was requested to clarify whether
recent health insurance numbers provided for budgetary
purposes included dental costs as well.

13 . Director of Public Works and Water System Manager
requested to bring forward an example of the weekly work
schedules used by Facilities Supervisor in allocating
personnel job assignments .
14 . Director of Finance was queried relative to next Pension
Board Meeting with Sun Trust and Lumus Presentation.
15 . Chief of Police was advised that Village Manager had
received reports that drivers were routinely running the
stop sign at the intersection of Country Club Drive and
Tequesta Drive.
16 . Water System Manager was requested to provide a status
report on the water storage tank removal at Village Hall.
Water System Manager directed to proceed with bid award
of same during Summer of 1997 .
17 . Director of Finance advised that State required incentive
pay should not be included in overtime and COLA
calculations .
18 . Finance Director was directed to designate an Accountant
to attend Budget Meetings for back-up purposes .
19 . Director of Community Development was queried relative to
landscaping changes at Gallery Square North without
Village of Tequesta okay?

Rinker completion of landscaping plan.
21 . Director of Finance was advised to prepare a finance plan
for Redevelopment Committee with and without Recreation
Center improvements .
22 . Director of Community Development was requested to
provide a status report of his previously requested
contact with U. S. Fish & Wildlife relative to Post Office
property.
23 . Fir Chief was requested to initiate efforts to improve
ISO Rating with a schedule for completion.
24 . Director of Finance and Water System Manager were
requested to advise as to book value of Water Department.
25 . Fire Chief asked for comments on draft Hurricane
Evacuation Plans and Departmental plans .
26 . Fire Chief produced Lake Park HAZMAT invoice and noted
that cost for same was one-tenth that would have been
charged by Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue.
27 . Chief of Police sought direction on seeking Village
Council approval of Palm Beach County Mutual Aid
Agreement.
28 . Village Clerk advised that annual vehicle inventory for
emissions control purposes was to be in to the State in
June, 1997 .

• Met with the Village Clerk and Director of Finance regarding
new' financing plans for new facilities based upon anticipated
growth.
• Attended the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Meeting at
7 : 45 a.m;. on May 21.
• Attended the Departmental Budget Review Meeting for Fire-Rescue
• at 10 :00' a.m. on May 21.
• Attended the City Manager/Finance Director at Frenchman' s Creek
Club at Noon on May 21 .

• Attended a water rate meeting to analyze impact of RO at 2 : 00
