Bradford, Village Manager From: Allan Oslund, Coordinator, Capital Projects Date: June 5, 1997 Subject: Seabrook Road South Emergency Repairs On approximately May 5, 1997, AKA Services began the repairs to the storm pipe on Seabrook Road south with the intent on stopping construction just south of Church Road. Once the Contractor reached this location it became apparent that it would not be possible to stop at this location because the existing pipe (which we were intending to tie into) would not line up to the reinstalled pipe either horizontally or vertically. The deflection in the existing pipe was so severe that one could only see approximately 24 feet down the pipe, normally one should be able to see from one structure to another (approximately 300 feet) . With this in mind and the fact that to leave the pipe not connected to a positive outfall would most likely cause severe flooding of both the road and houses during a moderate rain event, the Contractor, under my direction, removed and reinstalled the remainder of the storm pipe into Dover Ditch. At your direction, the Contractor has prepared the attached Change Order. Please place this item on the Agenda of the June 12, 1997 , Village Council Meeting for Council consideration.
