ready for the August 14, 1997, Village Council Meeting.
3 . Director of Finance was requested to set up a meeting
concerning overtime with Chief of Police and Fire Chief.
4 . Director of Finance advised that an audit committee
determination was needed by September via the Finance &
Administration Committee of the Village Council.
5 . Director of Public Works advised that he wished to award
street striping program " at September Village Council
Meeting.
6 . Director of Public Works advised tha civil engineer was
ready to schedule Public Safety Meeting for traffic
calming devices .
7 . Water System Manager reported that RISCORP Supervisor
Training for safety was to be scheduled in August.
8 . Village Clerk advised that Supplement No. 26 had been
distributed.
• Attended the Finance & Administration Committee Meeting at 5: 00
p.m. on July 22 .
• Attended Deposition Hearing in Village of Tequesta v. Town of
Jupiter at 10 :00 a.m. at Law Offices of Greenburg, Taurig.
• Attended Deposition Hearing at 11 : 00 a.m. on July 23 in Village
of Tequesta v. Town of Jupiter and South Florida Water
Management District at Law Offices of Greenburg, Taurig.

• Attended meeting with representative of Nichols Sanitation
concerning contract negotiation at 3 : 30 p.m. on July 23 .
• Attended Council of Governments Luncheon at 12 :00 p.m. on July
24 .
• Attended Village Council Meeting at 7 :00 p.m. on July 24 .
• Met with Gary Collins at 2 : 30 p.m. on July 28.
• Attended the Council of Governments Meeting in Palm Beach
Gardens at 7 :00 p.m. on July 28 .
• Attended Staff Meeting with Chiefs regarding overtime

• Attended Mediation Hearing in Campbell v. Village of Tequesta
at 10: 00 a.m. on July 30 .
• Attended Palm Beach County Municipal League Executive Search

• Attended Public Safety Committee Meeting at 4: 30 p.m. on
Friday, August 1.
• Attended Water Rate Dispute Hearing at Judge Carlisle' s
Courtroom at 1:30 p.m. on August 4.
• A Staff Meeting was conducted at 10:00 a.m. on August 5,
wherein the following items were discussed:
1 . Director of Community Development was requested to report
on right-of-way abandonment status.
2 . Director of Public Works was advised that Tequesta would
scheduled tentative South Cypress Drive Landscape Meeting
in late September.
3 . Director of Public Works was advised .of need to do RFP
for solid waste collection services.
4. Director of Community Development was reminded to do
draft ordinance for fee increases for first and second
reading in September.
5 . Chief of Police and Fire Chief requested to provide
overtime numbers from January 1, 19971 to June 1, 1997 .
6 . Village Clerk requested to review hurricane preparations .
7 . Director of Community Development sought direction
relative to Fehlhaber.
8 . Water System Manager sought clarification on furniture
removal. .

9 . Water System Manager advised that Department Head and
Supervisor safety training would be in August.
10. Water System Manager advised that new roll off dumpsters
were located at central garage facility.
11 . Water System Manager advised that he would be meeting
with Utility Directors of Jupiter and Seacoast relative
to South Florida Water Management District Lower East
Coast Water Plan.
12 . Chief of Police reported auto accident in Village Square.
13 . Director of Public Works sought approval for construction
of new dog pound at central garage facility.
14. Director of Public Works thought direction relative to
landscaping for Seabrook Road.
1.5. Fire Chief advised that he would be attending grant
meeting on August 12 .
16 . Fire Chief provided copies of Interlocal Emergency
Response Service Agreement.
17 . Fire Chief reported that Chief ' s Association had endorsed
no further telephone solicitation.
18 . Fire Chief advised that Department was conducting survey
on fire alarm charges of other Departments .
19 . Fire Chief reported that Department was surveying
inspection and plan review fees of other Departments .

and Village of Tequesta Resolution No. 35-96/97Abandoning a Certain Twenty Foot Wide
Alley Located in Jupiter-in-the-Pines, Section B, in the Village of Tequesta, as Recorded in Plat
Book 26, Page 18, Public Records of Palm Beach County, Florida bnd Dedicating a Ten Foot
Utility Easement on Said Property-for recordation in the Public Records of Palm Beach County.
It is my understanding that the Utility Easement will be recorded prior to the recording of the
Alley Abandonment.
