ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY,
FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR LEVYING A MILLAGE RATE
OF $6 . 6310 PER $1, 000 . 00 OF TAXABLE VALUATION
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1997/1998 ; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the Village to adopt the budgets
for the fiscal year commencing October 1, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the General Fund Budget for the fiscal year
commencing October 1, 1997, requires a millage rate. of $6 . 6310 per
$1, 000 . 00 taxable value .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 . The millage rate of $6 . 6310 per $1, 000 . 00 of
taxable valuation for the Fiscal Year 1997/1998 is hereby adopted.
Section 2 . The millage rate of $6 . 6310 per $1, 000 . 00 of
taxable valuation for the Fiscal Year 1997/1998 is 4 . 99 o greater
than the rolled-back millage rate of 6 . 3160 .
Section 3 . Certified copies of this Ordinance shall be
forwarded to the Palm Beach County Property Appraiser, Palm Beach
County Tax Collector and State Department of Revenue .
Section 4 . Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take
effect immediately upon its passage and approval .
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE was offered by Councilmember
, who moved its adoption. The Ordinance
was seconded by Councilmember and upon
being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:
FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION
The Mayor thereupon declared the Ordinance duly passed and
adopted this day of , 1997 .
