subject: New Entrance Construction at 136 Bridge Road
As you are aware, at the last Council Meeting, the Village
Council approved Landscape Waiver Request for the Bridge Road
Shops which is adjacent to the new Garage Facility. Village
Council approval was contingent upon and execution of an Easement
Agreement between the Village and Bridge Road Shops. As part of
that Agreement, the Village of Tequesta Water Department has
agreed to undertake relocation of the concrete driveway as well
as some additional concrete work along the western property of
the Bridge Road Shops.
The purpose of this work is to allow ingress and egress over the
full width of the entire easement which has been dedicated to the
Village. We have been in the process of negotiating this work
for nearly a year and a half and anticipate resolution in the
very near future.
In order to encumber the funds for this forthcoming work, we have
obtained a quote from the County Contractor, Wynn & Sons
Environmental Construction, Inc. of West Palm Beach, in the
amount of $9, 751.75 . As a governmental entity, we are allowed to
piggy back and use the County Contractor for work such as this,
realizing the cost savings.
Please place this item on the Village Council Agenda of
September 23, 1997, for their review and approval .
Funding will be provided by the Water Enterprise Fund, Retained
Earnings Account, Garage Facility Line Item, having an FY 97
account balance of $16, 137. 00 .
