A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A
NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENT ROLE SO AS TO
PROVIDE A UNIFORM METHOD FOR COLLECTING A
NON-AD - VALOREM ASSESSMENT FOR GARBAGE,
TRASH, AND RECYCLABLES COLLECTION SERVICES
AND RELATED SERVICES.
WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta previously adopted
Resolution No. 10-94/95 stating its intent to use the uniform
method for collecting a non-ad valorem assessment for garbage,
trash, and recyclables collection services and related
services; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Tequesta has implemented all those
procedures necessary and precedent to the adoption of the non-
ad valorem assessment role pursuant to the provisions of
S197 . 3632; and
WHEREAS, after public hearing the Village Council has
determined to adopt a non-ad valorem assessment role on all
residential properties lying within the corporate limits of the
Village of Tequesta as defined in Resolution No. 10-94/95 .
1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, as
follows:
Section 1 . The non-ad valorem assessment role relating
to garbage, trash, and recyclables collection services and
related services on all residential properties within the
corporate limits of the Village of .Tequesta is hereby adopted.
Section 2 . The assessment role adopted pursuant to the
terms of this resolution is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and
is adopted herein as if fully set forth in its entirety and is
on file in the offices of the Village Clerk, Village of
Tequesta, 357 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida 33469 and may
be examined at that location on any week day between 8 : 30 a.m.
and 5: 00 p.m.
Section 3 . This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by Councilmember

seconded by Councilmember , and
upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows :

In response to your memorandum dated June 17, 1996, subject Nichols
Sanitation, CPI (June 95 - May 96), Mr. Ron Arrowood has confirmed the 3.2% CPI
for the FY 1996/97 budget and contract period, fax attached.
An analysis•of the current fiscal year revenues and expenditures indicates a
surplus of $3,350 will accrue as of the close of this fiscal year.

Based on the financial data presented, I recommend adopting the rates for FY
1996/97 with the 3.2% CPI increase for Nichols Sanitation. Single-Family $138.56,
Multi-Family 107.80, per our discussion earlier today. I will . notify Solid Waste
Authority of such increase for publication of the TRIM Notice, and prepare the
1996/97 Refuse and Recycling budget using these rates.
