Please find attached, the following support documents for Councilmembers' review for the above referenced agenda item: • A letter dated July 16, 1996 from Allan F. Oslund, Gee & Jenson Project Manager, recommending contract award to AKA Services, Inc. • Bid tabulation sheet • Contractor's Unit Price Bid Schedule The Village Council allocated $110,000 in the FY 1996 Capital Improvement Budget for Dover Ditch Improvements. This amount included $11,000 for engineering services and $99,000 for dredging, bank stabilization, permits and related drainage work. Please find enclosed one copy of Exhibit "A" (Bid Tabulation) for each of the bidders to the above referenced project. The apparent low bidder was AKA Services, Inc., with a lump sum bid of$76,750. We have reviewed and checked the bids as submitted and would recommend awarding this contract to AKA Services, Inc. for the above referenced amount. In addition to this award, we would recommend a 15% contingency be added to cover the cost for unknown utility services and replacement of the storm pipe crossing Seabrook road at Dover Ditch, this would bring the total contract price to $88,260.
