• Attended the Finance and Administration Committee Meeting on
April 10 at '8 : 30 A.M.
• Met with the Department of Community Development -employees to
discuss employee development and employee replacement plans at
4 : 00 P.M. , April 10 .
• A staff meeting was conducted on April 11 at 10 : 00 A.M.
wherein the following items were discussed:
1) The Village Clerk was requested to research the viability

of placing a statement on lien inquiries for non-Tequesta
.properties advising that the same is not within the
boundaries of the Village of Tequesta. .

2 ) All Department Heads were advised that applicable
personnel must attend Employee Computer Committee
•
Meetings .
•
3) The Police and Fire Chiefs were requested to review their
periodical materials for information on building fund
raiser activities .
•
4) The Chief of Police was requested to have the Code
Enforcement Officer present at the Village Council Meeting
on April 13.

5) 'The Director of Public Works was questioned about the
•
Eastwinds Circle road repairs .
•
•
6) The Water System Manager was requested to provide a status
• report on his call monitoring assignment.
7 ) The Finance Director requested the Fire Chief to review
the computer program• for the Village budgets and
procedures associated therewith.
8) The Water System Manager provided an update on his
• assignment to fence the Water. Treatment Plant property in
•
• a timely fashion.
9) The Director of Public Works confirmed that a section of
Waterway Road in poor condition was 50% the property of
Tequesta and therefore, acceptable to pay half of the .
expenses to repair the same splitting this cost with the.
Waterway Village Property Owners Association.
10) The Director of Public Works advised that the Tequesta
Park signage had been approved by the State of Florida.
11 ) Water System Manager advised that Mr. Bachman had produced
no executed bill of sale for water main constructed by
him.
12 ) Water System Manager discussed Water System employee
concerns .
13 ) A discussion with all Department Heads occurred relative
to the acceptance of job applications, the need to amend
the handbook to allow the same for eligibility lists .
14) The Water System Manager had questions relative to the
requested productivity factor for water system wells .
15) The Village Clerk advised that records disposal had been
okayed by the State and will dispose of same in landfill.
16) Village Clerk advised that efforts would be made to store
original microfilm in Tallahassee.
• Met with Councilmember Hansen on April 12 at 2 :00 P.M.
• Village Manager attended funeral of family member in Orlando
on April 13 .
• Village Manager conducted employee grievance hearing on April
17 at 2:00 P.M.
• Attended Manager/Finance Director, Meeting/Luncheon on April 19
at noon.
• Met with the Director of Public Works and Recreation relative
to Tequesta Park lighting matters.
• A Staff Meeting was conducted on April 25_ commencing at 10 : 00
A.M. wherein the following matters were discussed:
1) The Water System Manager reviewed the proposed Safety
Policy and was instructed to meet regularly with
Department Heads and others in order to make
recommendations relative to' the same by August 1 including
Vehicle Maintenance, Employee Safety Committee and Drug
Free Workplace Requirements.
2) Water System Manager was asked the status of the requested
map of the water system.
3) Water System Manager was requested to provide status of
Central Garage project.

4) Water System Manager was requested to report on status of
call monitoring program.
5) Water System Manager was requested to provide the status .
on the requested reverse osmosis decision tree.
6) Water System Manager was requested to provide the status
of the requested well productivity factor report. ,_
7 ) All Department Heads were requested to begin consideration
of services phasing for future annexation.
8) The Chief of Police was requested to provide for directed
patrol on Golfview Drive in order to circumvent speeders
bypassing Country Club Drive.
9) Messrs . Hall, Weinand and Ladd were requested to final out
all fees and refunds for the Tequesta Branch Library
project.
10) Water System Manager was reminded that surcharge applies
to all fees and not just water rates .
• 11) Director of Public Works and Recreation requested to
proceed with landscape architectural services for U. S. One
medians .
12) Director of Public Works requested to provide status of
necessary landscape plans pursuant to Ordinance No. 377
for Village Hall and Gallery Square North properties .
13) Water System Manager requested to seek out sources for
tutors for Class C distribution license training.
14) Water System Manager was requested to provide . a status
report on Well 25 project.
15) Building Official ' reviewed JLH Associates ' proposal of
$28, 000 to prepare Tequesta required EAR per Comprehensive
Plan Law requirements.
16) Village Clerk advised that May 2 would be the pick up day
for old records .
17) Director of Public Works advised that the Gallery Square
North landscaping plan pursuant to Ordinance No. 377 had •
been previously completed and advised to review
improvements for Seabrook Road side of Gallery Square
North and seeking waiver for additional green space in
parking area.
18) Water System Manager advised of problems associated with
owner of 222 Building and their lease for a portion of
Water Department property; improvements thereon and
conflicts with Central Garage project.

property to place Tequesta comments regarding roadway network
into the p.blic record.

attached hereto and made a part of this Report.
The Department of Fire-Rescue Village Manager's Report for the
months of April 1995 are attached hereto and made a part of this
