Box 3273 Tequesta, FL 33469-0273 Dear Mayor Mackail, For 84 years Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. has helped more than 3 million young women of all ages for the responsibilies and challenges facing them in today's changing society. It is the individuals behind the scenes, the Girl Scout leaders, that make all this happen. With your help, the Palm Glades Girl Scout Council, a United Way agency, would like to salute the thousands of women and men nationwide who volunteer their time, effort and energy to Girl Scouts, dedicated to the development of girls and young women. We would like to invite you to join in our celebration by issuing a special proclamation naming April 22, Girl Scout Leader's Day in Tequesta. Enclosed please find a sample proclamation to serve as a guide. On behalf of the more than 10,000 Girl Scouts served by Palm Glades Girl Scout Council and more than 500 in the Tequesta/Jupiter area, thank you for your continued support. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience so we may confirm and coordinate this special event. Please contact me so that arrangements can be made to have someone present at a Council meeting when the proclamation is announced. My daytime No. is 407-683-3113, ext. 246.
