Memorandum
To. Thomas G. Bradford, Village 40:7>r r
From: James M. Weinand, Fire Chi
or
Date: February 21, 1996
Subject: Addendum No. 1 to the N.A.M.A.C. Agreement
Over the last eighteen months, the NAMAC Fire Chiefs have been working
with the Coordinating Council on providing a Regional Hazardous Material
Team. The staffing for this regional team will be primarily from Tequesta
and Palm Beach Gardens. Every member of NAMAC will provide,, in equal
shares, the necessary funding for the associated startup costs ($96,000.00)
for this Regional Hazardous Material Team. Municipalities needing service
of this Team for incident mitigation will be billed for actual expenses
occurred.
The attached Addendum establishes the legal basis, the ability for NAMAC
to account for, a provision for funding, and means of expenditures. The
majority of the equipment purchased through this funding mechanism will be
stored in Tequesta, thus providing our citizens with timely access to such,
when needed.
Please forward this Addendum to the Northern.Area. Mutual Aid Consortium
Agreement so that it can be adopted at the next Village Council Meeting.
