• VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA Post Office Box 3273 • 357 Tequesta Drive (� Tequesta,Florida 33469-0273 • (407) 575-6200 ; ~ � Fax:(407)575-6203 Cy CO Mt VILLAGE MANAGER ' S REPORT DECEMBER 11 , 19 9 5 - JANUARY 5 , 19 9 6 During this reporting period, there were 575 recorded telephone calls to the Village Manager' s Office and 170 citizen inquiries at the lobby counter. • Met with Councilmember Hansen at 2 : 30 P.M. on December 11 . • A Staff Meeting was conducted at 10:00 A.M. on December 12 wherein the following items were discussed. 1 . The Finance Director was reminded to issue his memorandum on purchase order requirement for educational reimbursement program expenditures . 2 . A discussion was held with the Finance Director relative to the feasibility of creation of a Building Department Enterprise Fund. 3 . The Village Clerk was requested to provide an overview of the requested Recreation Survey of Tequesta citizens . 4 . The Building Official was asked his opinion relative to the changes to the Tequesta Development Plan Review Process. 5 . The Finance Director was advised that Florida Statute 112 . 66 requires a Summary Retirement Plan update every two years and that the same be given to all newly hired employees. 6. The Fire Chief and Police Chief were asked to provide their findings relative to acceptability of cardio exams for all new hires. 7 . The Chief of Police was advised of the Level II Code Enforcement classes being held by the Institute of Government. 8 . The Water System Manager was advised of omissions in the proposed Ordinance amending water rates. 9 . Water System Manager was requested to provide a status report relative to reverse osmosis progress. Recycled Paper 10 . The Director of Public Works indicated that he wished to introduce the Village Manager to the new engineer representing Tequesta at Gee & Jenson. 11 . The Director of Public Works inquired as to responsibility for maintenance of handicap spaces at Gallery Square North parking lot. 12 . The Director of Public Works provided a FEMA update. 13 . Village Clerk advised that JTJC Building was online and needed roof repair and cleaning crew attention. 14 . Village Clerk advised that new area code 561 was effective on January 1, 1996 and that all printing orders henceforth should contain the same. • Attended the Village Council Meeting at 7 :00 P.M. on December 14 . • Met with Gee & Jenson officials relative to creation of Tequesta Storm Water Utility at 3:00 P.M. on December 15. • Attended the Firefighter Pension Board Meeting at 9 :00 A.M. on December 19. • Met with Councilmember Hansen at 2 : 30 P.M. on December 19 . • Attended the City Manager Finance Director Meeting at 12 :00 noon in Jupiter on December 20 . • Attended the Village Council Workshop Meeting at 4: 30 P.M. on December 20 . • Attended the Employee Christmas Luncheon at 12 :00 noon on December 22 . • Attended the Special Village Council Meeting at 5 : 30 P.M. on December 28 . • Attended the Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee Meeting on January 4 at 7 :45 A.M. to make a presentation relative to Country Club Drive. • Memorandum to Concerned Citizens Regarding Tequesta Peninsula Septic Tank Study. • Open Letter to Residents Regarding Water Issue. • Letter to Lee Evett Regarding Expedited Mediation of Water Dispute. • Letter to Sarabeth Snuggs, Division of Retirement, Regarding Village of Tequesta Withdrawal from Participation in the FRS. • Memorandum to All Department Heads Regarding Staff Meeting Schedule. • Memorandum to Village Council Regarding Village Council Meeting Schedule. • Letter to John C.
