■ Attended the Village Council Meeting on November 9 at 7 :00 P.M.
■ Letter to 'Marcia Nielson Regarding Appointment as Alternate
Member of the Community Appearance Board.
■ Letter to Betty Coyle Regarding Appointment as Regular Member
of the Board of Adjustment.
■ Letter to Jack Downey Regarding Cultural Facilities on Coast
Guard Land in Tequesta.
■ Memorandum to Finance Director Regarding Water Enterprise Fund
Contributions to General and Capital Improvement Fund.
■ Letter to Sarabeth Snugger Division of Retirement, Regarding
Village of Tequesta Withdrawal from Participation in the
Florida Retirement System.
■ A Staff Meeting was held on November 14, 1995, wherein the
following items were discussed:
1 . The Chief of Police expressed concern regarding the speed
of reimbursement on health insurance claims.
2 . The Water System Manager was requested to review ways
with PMG & Associates to surcharge Town of Jupiter
customers.
3. The Water System Manager was requested to proceed
expeditiously with anticipated water rate increase.
4 . Finance Director advised that he was working on a budget
amendment for carry-over encumbrances to be presented to
the Village Council on December 14.
5. Fire Chief expressed concern about timeliness of health
insurance claims payments.
6. Fire Chief advised of public flu shots availability at
Fire Station.
■ Attended the Northern Palm Beach County Improvement District
board Meeting regarding Cypress Drive Drainage Project at 8:00
A.M. on November 15.
■ Participated in a conference call with actuarial for FRS
Opt-Out at 11 :00 A.M. on November 15.
■ Hosted the City Manager/Finance Director Luncheon Meeting at
12 :00 P.M. in Tequesta on November 15.
■ Met with Bill Reese and Tom Hall Regarding outstanding water
issues at 3:00 P.M. . on November 20.
■ Invited to lunch with Keith Mosley, Branch Manager, of Barnett
Bank at 11:45 on November 22.
■ Met with Councilmember Capretta to review regional roadway
issues at 2:30 P.M. on November 22.
■ Attended meeting at Commissioner Marcus' office regarding
regional traffic concerns at 2:00 P.M. on November 27.
■ A Staff Meeting was conducted on November 28 at 10:00 A.M.
wherein the following items were discussed:
1. All Department Heads were reminded to use the new.
evaluation forms.
2. Building Official was requested to advise Mason Simpson
of Village of Tequesta Holiday Schedule and to amend his
permit form to include Tequesta holiday list so that all
contractors would know future holiday schedule wherein
construction activities must cease for planning purposes.
3. The Building Official was requested to maintain an
Ordinance No. 377 scoresheet and to have the same with
him at all Village Council Meetings to answer any
questions relative to the status of this important
initiative.
4 . The Director of Public Works & Recreation was requested
to find a way to report on resident/non-resident Tequesta
Park usage to satisfy Village Council.
5. The Fire Chief was requested to ascertain responsibility
for maintaining the reflectors on roadways indicating
location of hydrants, as same was considered important by
residents and of potential importance to mutual aid
respondees.
6 . The Chief of Police was requested to step-up traffic
enforcement activities on Country Club Drive effective
immediately within morning rush hours in order to address
citizen concerns about increased traffic on Country Club
Drive due to seasonal increase.
7 . The Police Chief and Fire Chief were advised to ensure
that all new hirees were receiving cardio exam to provide
baseline on heart condition in order to have eligibility
for state mandated presumptive diseases legislation.
■ Attended the Public Works Committee Meeting on December 5 at
4: 30 P.M.
■ Attended the Special Village Council Meeting on December 7 at
7 :00 P.M.
■ Letter to Sergeant Mike Morrill and Sergeant Rick Ricciardi
Regarding Village of Tequesta Revocation of Participation in
the Florida Retirement System and Proposed Alternative
Retirement Plan for Police Officers.
■ Letter to Richard Poulette, CWA, Jennifer Gazo and Larry Taylor
Regarding Village of Tequesta Revocation of Participation in
the Florida Retirement System and Proposed Alternative
Retirement Plan for General Employees.
■ Letter to Richard Valentine, BRITT, and Robert Messersmith,
Lighthouse Gallery, Regarding Tequesta Cultural Grant.
