As you may remember, I was appointed to CAB as an alternate at one time; however, because of employment circumstances, I had to leave my position after a very short time. Then, as now, I feel it is most important to maintain the integrity of the village ' s appearance by encouraging citizens and businesses in the village and those considering locating in Tequesta to accept certain standards set by the village. This is often difficult as opinions may differ as to what is aesthetically pleasing and acceptable. Because of my background in human services, in retail and living in a foreign country for two years, I feel I can bring to CAB those skills to help people appearing before the board understand Tequesta's regulations while, at the same time, helping them through the process with understanding and patience. 10. I have lived in Tequesta for 9 years and, during that time, I have been involved in our homeowners' association as secretary and newsletter publisher. At present, I am the welcoming committee for the association and have again taken responsibility for the newsletter; I also have offered my name in nomination for the board next year. I was a master gardener for two years with the P.B. County Extension service so I have knowledge of plantings in and about Tequesta. I regularly attend Village Council meetings and, most importantly, I really care about this village and my community and will work very hard to be an active and well-informed member of CAB.
