Box 3273 Tequesta, Florida 33469 Commissioners MARGARET McNERNEY Dear Mayor and Commissioners: As you know, the NAMAC, Northern Area Mutual Aid BILL REEP Consortium, was formed to provide mutual aid to a neighboring member at those times when fires and CYNTHIA WATTS emergencies exceed the resources of that jurisdiction. We believe it has been beneficial to all members. Two new dimensions have now been added; how to handle a hazardous material emergency that a 'municipality may suffer and a central dispatch system for this area. Most municipalities are not equipped to handle a major Hazmat problem on their own, but collectively could. The coordinating council of NAMAC would like to make an information only presentation to your commission October 12, 1995. It would last about thirty minutes including a question and answer period. Please advise if this is satisfactory. Sincerely, n ` c- Thomas C. Chilcote Mayor TCC:jm
