Hi Catherine:
RE: P&Z Agenda Meeting Scheduled January 4, 2007
Tequesta Palms Inn (formerly The Cologne Motel LLC)
Betty Laur,Recording Secretary, suggested that the Planning&Zoning Minutes of
October 5, 2006 should be attached to the Agenda packet of January 4th, 2007 P&Z
Advisory Board Meeting, as it is the continuation of the said meeting and also to
remind the Board of what was previously discussed. I enclosed the October 5th
Minutes to the agenda packet of the P&Z Board members which was mailed to the Board.
Attached, please find a copy of the October 5,2006 P&Z minutes.

Dear Ms. Harding:
Please accept this letter and the attached documents as our information for the upcoming Planning and Zoning
Commission Meeting of January 4,'2007. Pursuant to the previous hearing of the Planning and Zoning Commission, the
project needed to provide revised information on the project to further clarify the renovations that would be made on this
very old motel facility. -
We have included for the consideration of approval by the Planning and Zoning Commission the following items:
1. Revised Building Elevation—The Elevations provided are in color and request consideration of the proposed
• color scheme as well as the replacement of the lattice and columns along the front of the buildings north
elevation. The roof, which is in good condition, will remain two colors grey, asphalt shingle, which was the,
original roof material when the building was first built. -
2. Revised Landscape Plan—The landscape plan indicates the existing vegetation on site as well as proposed
plantings. All new landscape materials indicated on the plan are native plants as required by the Village .
code. All invasive, prohibited vegetation will be removed if found on site.
3. A new sign will be proposed for the project which will meet the Village of Tequesta sign code and will
incorporate the same"Tan" building color as the base with white trim. Letters will be Kelly green..The sign
will also meet all required setbacks pursuant to the Village sign code. We would ask the Planning and
Zoning Commission to conceptually approve the sign, with'final approval by the Community Development
Director upon final submittal to the Village of the sign drawings.
Thank you for your consideration of this renovation project and we look forward to the meeting with the Planning and
Zoning Commission in January.
Sincerely,
Gentile Holloway O'Mahoney - •
