SELECTION COMMITTEE MEETING
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FL
MARCH 15, 2024 10:00 AM VILLAGE HALL CONFERENCE
ROOM
CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
The meeting was called to order by Village Clerk McWilliams at 10:00 am. A roll call was taken.
Present were:
Doug Chambers, Public Works Director; Greg Corbitt, Parks and Recreation Director; and Jay
Hubsch, Community Development Director.
COMMUNICATIONS FROM CITIZENS
None.
AGENDA ITEMS
1. Review of Submitted Proposals:
1. Creative Contracting Group
2. Lunacon Construction Group
3. National SWPPP Services
4. South Florida Building, Inc. dba BDI Marine Contractors, LLC
5. West Construction, Inc. & West Architecture and Design LLC
The committee reviewed the proposals and noted West Construction was involved in
Constitution Park and had been involved in litigation with other municipalities. They
discussed some disparities on construction estimates and discussed in depth the
submittal presentations.
Mr. Chambers noted Creative relied on sub-contractors, Lunacon had great references
but was one million over budget, SWPPP was based out of California, and S. Florida
Building did not submit the minimum requirements and therefore would be excluded from
consideration.
2. Evaluation and Ranking of Proposals for Presentations
Mr. Hubsch moved to approve interviewing Creative Contracting Group, Lunacon
Construction Group, SWPPP Services and West Construction, Inc.; motion was
seconded by Mr. Chambers. Motion passed unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 10:18 am.
