/Il'' WHEREAS, the Red Cross is a leading voluntary agency meeting the needs '..1 't-.

— disaster; and, -
W • WHEREAS, the Red Cross is designated by the Congress of the United ✓4 1.14

G - WHEREAS, the Red Cross has trained thousands of people in our community "1�'�
in essential skills such as first aid and CPR, and provided HIV/AIDS

untold numbers of lives; and, ,V
C p. WHEREAS, March has been designated as "Red Cross Month" by U.S. `.
Presidential Proclamation to celebrate the achievement of the Red Cross

• -74 in the services it provides to communities nationwide.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE VIT•TaGV COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
-• OF TEQUESTA, assembled in regular session this 9th day of March, 2000,
• •" that the month of March, 2000 is hereby proclaimed RED CROSS MONTH in _,�
'' the Village of Tequesta and this Village recognizes the Red Cross as "`•
i the lead voluntary agency to help families prepare for a disaster and
