Re: Appointment of Fifth Trustee to Pension Boards
At the June 7, 2000 meeting of both the Tequesta Public Safety Officers' Pension Board and the
Tequesta General Employees' Pension Trust Board a fifth trustee was elected in accordance with
Village Ordinance No. 549. Both boards elected Edward D. Resnik to be the fifth trustee by a majority
vote of the other four Trustees. Ordinance No. 549 in Section 3 (1) says"Upon receipt of the fifth (5th)
person's name for either board, the Tequesta Village Council shall, as a ministerial duty, appoint such
person to the General Employee Board and/or the Public Safety Board as its fifth (5)Trustee."
Would you please seek the Council's appointment of Mr. Resnik as the fifth (5th)trustee to both pension
boards at the July 20, 2000 Village Council meeting. I have attached his letter of interest for review.

To: Village of Tequesta Employee Pension Boards of Trustees
I understand that, with the establishment of separate Pension Boards for the Public
Safety Employees and the General Employees, a fifth (5th) Trustee will be selected by
a majority vote of the other four (4) Trustees of both boards. As a Village resident for
more than 20 years, I would be interested in serving the community as a Trustee on one
or both of the Pension Boards. I am providing the following brief resume of my
background and qualifications for your information. Please call me at 746-3986 if you
if you have any questions: Thank you for your consideration of my offer to serve.
Sincerely
