RESOLUTION NO. 18-24
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE FINAL MILLAGE RATE FOR
THE LEVYING OF AD VALOREM TAXES FOR THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING ON OCTOBER 1,
2024 AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 2025; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta has determined the sum of
$48,702,377 will be required to operate the Village during the next fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, the Real Estate and Personal Property Tax Roll for the current calendar year
as accepted evidences a total nonexempt valuation of$2,053,547,874; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 200, Florida Statutes, the Village of
Tequesta has the power to levy ad valorem taxes against real property and tangible personal
property in accordance with state law; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM
BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1: The Village Council of the Village of Tequesta does hereby adopt its final
millage rate of 6.4595 mills to be levied for the general fund upon all real and tangible personal
property located with the boundaries of the above named taxing authority.
Section 2: The final levy of 6.4595 mills represents an 8.60% increase over the rolled-
back rate of 5.9479 mills.
Section 3: This final millage rate of 6.4595 mills is levied to fund expenses for the
fiscal year commencing October 1, 2024 and ending September 30, 2025.
Section 4: This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption by the
Village Council.
