It's the Beach Road Association's view that the
Study substantially demonstrates that vessel
traffic congestion, the speed, wakes, and
operation of vessels in the Jupiter Narrows create
unsafe levels of vessel traffic congestion, a
significant risk of collision, and are, in fact, a
significant threat to boating safety.
The FWC has irrefutable data from the
AtkinsRealis Study that should mandate
establishment of a 24-7, 365-day slow speed
zone in the Jupiter Narrows from the Cato Bridge
Speed Transition Sign to Marker 59 is necessary
to maintain public safety.
The Study shows 80% of the Risk Profiles in the
South Section are High or Significant Risk. 100%
of the Profiles show a Significant Risk, High Risk
or Risk Profile.
