V *111age of T 345 Tequesta Drive 561-768-0700 Tequesta, FL 33469 www.tequesta.org TO: Environmental Advisory Committee FROM: Brad Freese, Chair EAC DATE: 12/11/2024 SUBJECT: VOT EAC Workshop February 2025 We have previously discussed having a meeting during evening hours to encourage community involvement. If we were to have a workshop in addition to our regularly scheduled meetings, like village council, what do you think would be important or pertinent to do during this workshop? I am interested in having an EAC workshop in February 2025 and would like feedback on how to proceed. My ideas focus on living shorelines, however, maybe the workshop needs to be broader in scope. Again, please come prepared to share your thoughts. Some of my ideas to consider... 1. Introduction to the Tequesta Living Shoreline Ordinance. 2. Invite Sue Penella (JNCA) and Peter DeWitt (JILONA) to present their efforts and experience in restoration of living shorelines. 3. Invite Keith Rossin (MANG) and Nick Bourdon (Reff Arches) to present how to pragmatically execute a living shoreline. 4. Tequesta Green Building Initiative.
