The reverse osmosis product water is high in hydrogen sulfide. This gas is removed by a degasifer and scrubber system. The system produces a waste stream that is sent to the sewer ste stream is high in mineral content which in turn caused scaling to build up in the line. This wa line. Unfortunately, there is a section of pipe that is now completely blocked and needs to be removed. This pipe is 10 ft. deep and approximately 6 ft. from the building. Therefore, this job requires extra safety measures and special attention to not disturb the buildings foundation. For that reason several companies refrained from biding this job. We received three quotes: Johnson Davis - $53,382 Deevan - $23,940 Du-all Plumbing - $18,925 Du-all Plumbing did not include repairing the asphalt after the pipe repair is done. The utilities team would like to move forward with Deevan. Deevan has performed quality work for us in the past and has the experience and ability to perform this job even if unforeseen challenges were to come up.
