Workshop STAFF MEMO x Meeting: Workshop - Jun 02 2025 Staff Contact: Merlene Reid, Director, HR & Risk Department: HR Management EMT Discussion on Non-Union Employees Job and Pay Review 2025 The Village contracted HR Compensation Consultants (HRCC) in late 2024 to review the current non- union pay plan, with a focus on external competitiveness and internal equity. Job descriptions, org charts and employee tenure and pay data were provided to HRCC. All directors received a Department Questionnaire (DQ) and HRCC also met with several of them in March 2025. Market data was collected from ten surrounding municipalities and published data from comparable private sector jobs was utilized in the review. The major findings were as follows: • All full-time employees' pay is within their current ranges • The current ranges require varying adjustments to maintain external competitiveness • To maintain internal competitiveness, one part-time and four full-time employees' pay would require equity adjustment moves. The major recommendations were as follows: • Move the ranges in line with the recommendations presented, and make an adjustment of $6,338 for the five part-time employees whose pay would fall below the recommended new minimums • To remain competitive, make across-the-board general increases of 5% for a cost of$187,074 • Based on time in position, make an equity adjustment for the one part-time and four full-time employees' pay for a total cost of$24,209. The total cost of implementing the recommendations involving the employees included at the time of the study, amounts to $217,483.
