Presentation by the United Way Palm Beach County, CEO Dr. Laurie George, on Hunger Action
Month and Proclamation Declaring September 2025 as Hunger Action Month in the Village of
Tequesta
SUMMARY:
Way Palm Beach County CEO, Dr. Laurie George, will provide an overview about United Way,
and remind the Village about September's "Hunger Action Month".
United Way of PBC along with Palm Beach County Government is celebrating their ten-year
anniversary for the Hunger Relief Plan, which was created in partnership. They are asking each each
municipality to host an event (food drive, volunteer food related event, etc.), share the event with
them so their marketing team can (1) promote the event on all of their social media platforms (2)
attend and snap photos, so that at the end of September they can create a montage of what the
county did to celebrate this milestone. Attached a flyer that provides additional information.
