This item is for a one time use of Tequesta Police Department's Asset Forfeiture funds for the purchase and installation of security cameras inside of Remembrance Park and Station 11. Along with purchasing the security cameras, the funds would also be used to pay for the installation of fiber optic and electrical wiring to Station 11, Police Department training equipment for Station 11, and furniture for Station 11. By approving this item, the Council is agreeing to a future budget amendment in November. It is believed this is an approved justified use of the Equitable Sharing Funds under the U.S. Department of Justice Rules.
