Discuss and Recommend Environmental Initiatives to be considered by the Village Council for the
2025-2026 Strategic Plan
SUMMARY: A
The Village of Tequesta year-round works to fulfill the initiatives of the Strategic Plan. Annually, the Village Council meets
to discuss and review the current Strategic Plan and reassess current priorities. The Village is preparing for the 2026-2027
Strategic Plan process. As in prior years, the Environmental Advisory Committee (EAC) plays a pivotal role in shaping
environmentally focused goals that protect Tequesta's natural assets, enhance resilience, and preserve our unique
community character.
This agenda item has two objectives:
• Review the 2025-2026 Strategic Plan (attached) with emphasis on environmental initiatives and current progress
(or lack thereof).
• Solicit EAC recommendations for 3-5 priority environmental initiatives to be advanced to the Village Council for
inclusion in the 2026-2027 Plan.
o The Village Council will meet in February/March and will consider recommendations.

• Council Workshop: Present final 2026-2027 Strategic Plan framework
