MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA COMMUNITY APPEARANCE BOARD
FEBRUARY 14, 1979
A meeting of the Village of Tequesta Community Appearance Board
was held at 9:00 A.M. , Wednesday, February 14, 1979 in the Village Hall,
357 Tequesta Drive, Tequesta, Florida. Board members present were:
R. Butterfield, Hartman, Nagle and Stoddard. Also present were Robert
Harp, Clerk of the Board and A. W. Butterfield, Village Building Official.
R. Butterfield advised that the meeting had been called to
consider the two (2) items on the notice of meeting.
The first item discussed was the plans for Georgetowne Place
Townhouses, Phase I and II (16 units each) , Cypress Drive, north of
Tequesta Drive. Present for the applicant were Gerald Burns, owner,
Robert Sonberg, Architect and Martin Saunders, Project Director. Stoddard
asked if the proposed construction was in conformance with the new
Comprehensive Plan and was advised it was and that it conformed to the
zoning classification.
The Architect showed a color rendering and elevations of the
buildings. Veneer simulated brick exterior would be used. Roof shingles
and other colors are to be color keyed to earthtones. Each apartment would
be 1,110 square feet, not counting courtyard, with two (2) bedrooms and
one and one-half (VI) baths. Estimated sales price is $39,900.
The landscape plan was then discussed and the applicant agreed
to eliminate the Australian Pine hedge in front and replace with a green
hedge. Stoddard expressed the special need for screening in front due to
type of buildings. The Board discussed the type of plantings and grass.
Hartman suggested that Bitter Blue grass be used and was advised the plans
so indicated. R. Butterfield advised the applicant that it was the usual
practice for the applicant to submit complete landscaping plans at first
review. Applicants stated they would submit a final complete landscaping
plan for Board approval. Nagle moved, seconded by Stoddard that the plans
for the basic overall concept for Georgetowne Place Townhouses, Phase I
and II, be approved, subject to submission and Board approval of the final
detailed landscaping plans. The vote on the motion was:

and the motion therefore passed and the Board signed the plans.
The next item for consideration was the plans for the service
bays addition to Apex Texaco Service Station, corner of Bridge Road and
U.S. Highway No. 1. In attendance for the applicant were Mrs. Hartwiger,
owner, Gary Brandenburg, owner's attorney, Robert Townsend, contractor for
owner.

Brandenburg showed the plans which showed the mansard roof the
entire distance across the front of the building. After some discussion,
the Board agreed that the presently existing dormer windows in the existing
roof should remain. Brandenburg discussed the site plan showing the
parking and ingress and egress and landscaping revision to include addi-
tional planting along Bridge Road. The landscaping plan had previously
been approved. Stoddard moved, seconded by Hartman, that the plans for
service bays addition for Apex Texaco Service Station be approved as
submitted. The vote on the motion was:

and the motion therefore passed. The Board then signed the plans, sheet
1 of 3, Job No. 21-11-100, dated 11-10-78, prepared by Advance Design and
Planning Service and Rood Landscape Company, Inc. Plan.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at
10:00 A.M.
