Consider Approval of 2026 Chevrolet Colorado Crew Cab Purchase from Stingray Chevrolet, LLC for
the Utilities Department, through the Florida Sheriff's Association Contract, at a total cost of
$387933.40
SUMMARYA
The Utilities Department (UD) recommends approval to purchase a 2026 Chevrolet Colorado Crew
Cab through the Florida Sheriff's Association contract. The total purchase cost for the vehicle is
$38,933-40, which aligns with the approved budget amount of $40,000. Funds for this purchase will
come from the Vehicle Renewal and Replacement Fund (501-411-664.602).
The Chevrolet Colorado is equipped with standard safety features, including automatic emergency
braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, following distance
indicator, forward collision alert, and IntelliBeam. Additional safety features include rear cross-traffic
braking and rear park assist. This vehicle is used for transporting trailers and generators and will be
equipped with an advanced trailering package, which includes blind zone steering assist with
trailering that replaces blind zone steering assist.
The Chevrolet Colorado will replace an existing vehicle, UD61, a 2014 Ford F150 that is over 11
years old and has accumulated more than 57,000 miles.
To ensure the lowest possible price, the Village piggyback's the current Florida Sheriff's Association
contract that was awarded to various vendors, including Stingray Chevrolet. The vendor selection by
the Sheriff's Association & Florida Association of Counties was completed through a competitive
selection process.
The Utilities Department recommends moving forward with this purchase. The vehicle being replaced,
UD61, will be surplused.
