Consider Approval of The Annex Building Parking Lot and Landscaping Improvements with Irrigation
Upgrades
SUMMARYA
This project includes improvements to the Annex Building parking lot, landscaping, and irrigation
system using existing contract pricing.
Parking Lot Improvements (Wynn & Sons — $31,046.80):
Repairs will be made to damaged areas of the parking lot, including potholes and trenches. The lot
will then be milled and repaved, restriped, and new concrete parking stops will be installed.
Landscaping Improvements (Terracon — $17,660.00):
Work includes removing old landscaping and installing new trees, hedges, plants, sod, and mulch to
enhance the site's appearance. The proposed landscape plan includes items such as cocoplum,
sabal palms, and groundcover consistent with the project rendering.
Irrigation Pump Replacement (Terracon — $1,522.25):
A new irrigation pump system will be installed, including a timeclock, pump/relay, valves, and wiring.
Irrigation Contingency ($2,270.95):
Adding contingency for potential irrigation pipe and sprinkler head replacement or repairs. The exact
scope cannot be determined until the new pump is operational.
Total Estimated Project Cost: $52,500-00
This project is not currently funded in the Fiscal Year 2026 Budget. Staff is recommending a budget
transfer from the Miscellaneous Park Projects account 303-323-663.672 to
accou nt:303-399-663.710-40004
Notes:
• A proposed Live Oak tree along Shay Place will be removed from the plan due to limited space
and potential root damage to the roadway and parking lot. Groundcover (Emerald Blanket) will
be installed instead.
• The landscape design allows for potential future addition of parallel parking spaces, a retaining
wall, and related improvements along Shay Place; however, these are not included in this
project.
