HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution_01-99/00_10/14/1999RESOLUTION NO. 1-99/00 • A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH ii COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING THE BID AWARD ~ FOR THE DEMOLITION OF A UTILITIES STORAGE TANK TO LANIGER ENTERPRISES OF AMERICA, OF JENSEN BEACH, FLORIDA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,495.00, WITH FUNDS BEING APPROPRIATED FROM THE WATER ENTERPRISE F?JND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND, HAVING A FY 1999/2000 BUDGET ALLOCATION OF $26,000 AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLGE MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE APPLICABLE CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Contract Proposal For Demolition of a Utilities Storage Tank to Laniger Enterprises of America, of Jensen Beach, Florida, Attached Hereto as • Exhibit "A" and incorporated by reference as a part of this Resolution is hereby approved and the Village Manager of the Village of Tequesta is authorized to j execute the same on behalf of the Village of Tequesta. THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION WAS OFFERED by Councilmember Schaller who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Hansen ,and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION Joseph N. Capretta Basil E. Dalack Carl C. Hansen Ron T. Morrison, Utilities Director Village of Tequesta 136 Bridge Road Tequesta, FL 33469-0474 EXHIBIT "A" PROPOSAL Reference: Bid to Remove One (1) 500 thousand gallon Storage Tank Please accept this letter as a written bid for Laniger Enterprises of America, Inc. to remove one 500,000 gallon storage tank from Village of Tequesta property under the following conditions: 1) Laniger will furnish insurance for itself and all subcontractors working on site. • 2) Laniger will be responsible as necessary for lead abatement on the salvaged tank only. 3) Laniger will not remove the tank foundation but will clean all debris from same. 4) Laniger will remove all above ground piping associated will the tank. 5) Any permits required for the removal will be furnished by the Village of Tequesta. 6) All parts of the dismantled tank will become property of Laniger Enterprises and will be removed within 30 days of the commencement of dismantling.
