ORDINANCE N0. 375
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH
COUNTY, FLORIDA. AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE N0. 355.
AS AMENDED. BY AMENDING SECTION VII. SCHEDULE OF
REGULATIONS, BY ADDING AN ADDITIONAL SPECIAL
EXCEPTION USE TO THE G-2. COMMUNITY COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR
CODIFICATION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE Village Council of the Village
of Tequesta. Falm Beach County. Florida, as follows:
Sect ion 1. Sect ion VII. Subsection t D) . Paragraph
(6>Cd) of the official Zoning Ordinance of the Village of
Tequesta, Ordinance No. 355, as amended, is hereby amended by
adding an additional Special Exception use to the C-2.
'' Community Commercial District, identified as Na. 12, to read as
follows:
12. Hotels, subject to the following conditions:
j' a. All rooms shall be designed to be entered
from enclosed interior corridors.
b. All rooms providing glass sliding doors at
first floor grade level shall face an
interior courtyard.
c. Accessory uses shall be allowed, such as:
swimming pools, spas, cabanas, saunas.
tennis courts, club houses, gazebos, utility
buildings, restaurants and any other similar
use deemed appropriate by the Building
Official.
d. Accessory uses shall be allowed, such as;
shops for the retail sale of flowers.
sundries, newspapers and books, jewelry.
gifts, sportswear and clothing, art and
similar items, and barber or beauty shops
subject to these uses being located within a
main building. The primary customer entry

be allowed from an interior courtyard.

i f. Hotels shall be subject to the requirements
of Sect ion X, Subsection < A> , Paragraph t ~,)
and all other applicable sections of the
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance. Ordinance
No. 355, as amended.

Section 2. If any provision of this Ordinance or
the application thereof is held invalid, such invalidity shall
not affect the other provisions or applications of this
Ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid
II~ provisions or applications, and to this end the provisions of
!j this Ordinance are hereby declared severable.

Section 3. This Ordinance shall be codified and
made a part of the official Code of Ordinances of the Village
of Tequesta.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect
~~ immediately upon its approval and passage as provided by law.

~I THE FOREGOING Ordinance was offered by Councilmember
~ Earl L. Collings who moved its adoption. The Ordinance
was seconded by Councilmember William E. Burckart and
~ upon being gut to a vote, the vote was as follows:

The Mayor thereupon declared the Ordinance duly
gassed and adopted this 13th day of October 1988.
