AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEOUESTA, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER VI OF THE CODE OF THE VILLAGE
PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF CERTAIN FEES ENUMERATED
THEREIN TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL; HY AMENDING THE FEES
RELATING TO BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES OR ALTERATIONS
REQUIRING A PERMIT; BY AMENDING THE FEES RELATING TO
ALL PLUMBING WORK REQUIRING A PERMIT; BY AMENDING THE
FEES RELATING TO ALL ELECTRICAL WORK REQUIRING A
PERMIT; BY AMENDING THE FEES RELATING TO ALL GAS
INSTALLATION OR DISMANTLING WORK REQUIRING A PERMIT;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR
CODIFICATION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED HY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. Chapter VI of the Gode of Ordinances of the
Village of Tequesta is hereby amended at Section 6-141 to read
as follows:
Section 6-141. Valuation for gurposes of assessment. The
value of a dwelling unit or grogosed construction shall be
determined by a square foot valuation as based on the Building
Valuation Data table set forth by the Southern Building Code
Congress International, Inc.
Section 2. Section 6-142 is hereby amended to read as
fellows:
Section 6-142. Permit Fees - Building and other
structures. On all buildings, str uctures or alterations
requiring a building germit as set forth in the Village of
Tequesta Bui lding Code, a fee shall be gaid to the Building
Official as required at the t ime of f it ing apgl icat ion, in
accordance wi th the following schedule:

Section 3. Section 6-143 is hereby amended to read as

required at the time of filing application in accordance with

Section 4. Section 6-144 is hereby amended to read as

For building shell and meter ce nter only tha t does not
' ~ include wiring of individual units, the permit fee shall be 1/2
of the above schedule.

THE PERMIT FEES FOR INDIVIDUAL UNITS SHALL CONFORM WITH SCHEDULE

Commercial - Minimum electrical germit for commercial

Residential - Minimum electric permit for residential
will be 825.00 get tenancy C1 to 10 outlets). For

Section S. Section 6-146 is hereby amended to read as
follows:
Section 6-146. Same - Gas. On all gas installation or
dismantling work requiring a permit as set forth in the Village
of Tequesta Gas Code, fees shall be paid to the Building
Official as required at the time of filing application by
valuation, per Sect ion 6-142< a> Fee Schedule.

Section 6. Severability. If any section, part of a
section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this
Ordinance is for any reason held or declared to be
unconstitutional, inoperative ar void, such holdings of
invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this
Ordinance, and it shall be construed to have been the
legislative intent to pass this Ordinance without such
unconstitutional, invalid or inoperative part therein, and the
remainder of this Ordinance, after the exclusion of such part or
parts, shall be deemed to be held valid as if such part or parts
had not been included therein, or if this Ordinance or any of
the provisions thereof shall be held inapplicable to any Berson.

Section 7. Codification. This Ordinance shall be codified
and made a Bart of the official Code of Ordinances of the
Village of Tequesta, Florida.
Section 8. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take
effect immediately upon its passage and approval.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE was offered by
Councilmember William E. Burckart who moved its
adoption. The ordinance was seconded by
Councilmember Edward C. Howell and upon being
put to a vote, the vote was as follows:
