AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH
COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE VILLAGE CODE OF ORDI-
NANCES BY PROVIDING FOR CHAPTER 16, FEE SCHEDULE,
APPLICATION AND FILING FEES; PROVIDING FOR SEVERA-
BILITY; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE O]
TEQUESTA, as follows:
SECTION l: Chapter 16, is hereby established to read a:

Section 16-1 Adoption and Purpose
(1) The Application and Filing fee schedule is hereby
adopted. Provisions contained herein shall constitute
the fees charged by the Village of Tequesta for various
land development activities. Said fees shall cover al]
administrative costs and additional costs incurred b~
the Village as part of and during the processing anc
review of the various activities. This Ordinance shall
generally be referred to as the "Fee Schedule".
(2) The purpose of this Fee Schedule is to provide e
centralized listing within the Code of Ordinances whicl-
establishes a range of fees and charges as determine:`
by the Village and administered by the Buildinc
Official in the processing and review of application=
for activities such as, but not limited to, lark
development. This Chapter may, from time to time, b~
amended by the Village Council.
Section 16-2 Administrative Costs
(1) To cover all administrative costs incurred by the
Village, the applicant shall pay a base application fee
as determined by the Building Official and establishes
herein by the Village Council.

* Annexation fee may be waived by the
Village Council whenever such a
waiver is deemed to facilitate the
annexation policies of the Village.
(b) Variance - Board of Adjustment
(1) Single-family
(2) Duplex
(3) Multiple family
(4) Commercial
(c) Special Exceptions - Village Council
(d) Rezoning of Land
(e) Zorling Code Text Amendment
(f) Community Appearance Board Review

$200 plus $10.00/lot
(1) To cover all additional administrative costs, actual or
anticipated, including, but not limited to, engineering
fees, consultant fees and special studies, the applicant
shall compensate the Village for all such costs prior to
the processing of the application or not later than thirty
(30) days after final application approval whichever is
determined as appropriate by the Village.
Section 2: If any provision of this Ordinance or the
application thereof is held invalid, such invalidity shall not
affect the other provisions or applications of this Ordinance
which can be given effect without the invalid provisions or
applications and to this end the provisions of this Ordinance
are hereby declared severable.
Section 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 4: This Ordinance shall be codified and made a part of
the Official Code of Ordinances of the Village of Tequesta,
Florida.
Section 5: This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
its passage and approval, as provided by law.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE was offered by Councilmember
Earl L. Collings who moved its adoption. The Ordinance
was seconded by Councilmember Ron f~ackail and
upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:

The Mayor thereupon declared the Ordinance duly passed and
adopted this lath day of July 1987.
