HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_316_12/14/1982 • • ORDINANCE "J0. 316 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER VI OF THE CODE OF THE VILLAGE PROVIDING FOR THE PAYMENT OF CERTAIN FEES ENUMEP.ATED THEREIN TO THE BUILDING OFFICIAL; BY AMENDING THE FEES ON ALL PLUMBING WORK REQUIRING A PERP1IT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA PLUP~IBING CODE; BY AMENDING THE FEES RELATING TO ELECTRICAL WORK REQUIRING A PERMIT AS SET FORTH IN THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA ELECTRICAL CODE; BY AMENDING THE FEES REQUIRED ON ALL AIR CONDITIONING WORK REQUIRING A PERP4IT AS SET FORTH IN THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA BUILDING CODE; AMENDING THE FEES ON ALL GAS INSTALLATION OR DISMANTLING WORK REQUIRING A PERMIT AS SET FORTH IN THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA GAS CODE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. Chapter VI of the Code of Ordinances of the (Village of Tequesta is hereby amended at Section 6-142(h) to read las follows: "(h) Swimming Pools; On all swimming pool work requiring a (permit as set forth in the Village of Tequesta Building Code, fees shall be paid to the Building Official as required at the time of (filing application in accordance with the Section 6-142(a) schedule" Section 2. Section 6-143 is hereby amended to read as (follows: "Section 6-143. Same-Plumbing. On all plumbing work re- quiring a permit as set forth in the Village of Tequesta Plumbing Code, fees shall be paid to the Building Official as required at the time of filing application, in accordance with the following schedule: (1) Minimum plumbing permit fee........ $ 8.00 (2) Each fixture roughed in ........... 4.00 (3) Each connection to a public or private sewer system ............... 4.00 (4) Each grease trap or grease interceptor ........................ 4.00 i'~~ • • (5) Each water connection to or outlet from an appliance or installation not covered by fixture permit .............$ 4.00 (6) Each fixture repiped: (a) Up to 10 fixtures ..................... 3.00 (b) Each additional fixture ............... .20 (7) Supply well ............................... 10.00 (8) Solar water heater: (a) Complete system by evaluation per .... Section 6-142(a Fee Schedule (13) Every steam boiler, steam generator, commercial or industrial hot water boiler or air compressor, per $1,000.00 valuation or fraction thereof ............. Section 6-142(a Fee Schedule (14) All commercial or industrial piping not covered by other permits, per $1,000.00 valuation or fraction thereof... Section 6-142(a Fee Schedule (15) On all irrigation sprinkler systems requiring a permit as set forth in the Village of Tequesta building code, fees shall be paid to the Building Official as required at the time of filing application in accordance with the Section 6-142(a) schedule. (16) On all mechanical equipment work requiring a permit as set forth in the Village of Tequesta building code, fees shall be paid to the Building Official as required at the time of filing application in accordance with the Section 6-142(a) schedule. (17) Each reinspection made due to condemnation (red tag) of work, work not ready at the time specified in the application for inspection or for failure to call for final or other inspection ...................$20.00 -2- i ~ • • Section 3. Section 6-144 is hereby amended to read as follows: a. "Section 6-144. Same-Electricity. On all electrical work requiring a permit as set forth in Village of Tequesta electrical code, fees shall be paid to the Building Official as required at the time of filing application, in accordance with the followin4 schedule. The minimum fee for any permit for electrical work will be eight dollars ($8.00)." b. Section 6-144(1) is hereby amended to read as follows: "(i) Reinspection fee: Each reinspection due to wrong address, work rejected because of faulty construction, work not ready for inspection at time requested, code violations, repairs and corrections not made when inspection is scheduled or premises not accessible for inspector, may be charged $20.00." c. All other portions of Section 6-144 shall remain unchanged Section 4. Section 6-145 is hereby amended to read as (follows: "Section 6-145. Same-Air Conditioning. On all air conditioning work requiring a permit as set forth ~,in the Village of Tequesta building code, fees shall be paid to 'I the Building Official as required at the time of filing application 'in accordance with the Section 6-142(a) schedule. (1) Reinspection of a heating, ventilating, air conditioning or refrigeration system, the installer of such equipment shall pay a reinspection fee of $20.00." Section 5. Section 6-146 is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 6-146. Same-Gas. On all gas installation or dismantling work requiring a permit as set forth in the Village of Tequesta gas code, fees shall be paid to the Building Official as required at the time of filing application in accordance with the following schedule: (1) P~inimum gas installation or dismantling fee.... $ 8.00 (2) Each gas piping system of 1 to 5 outlets....... 8.00 Each additional outlet ......................... .50 -3- • • (3) Inspection of conversion burners, floor furnaces, incinerators, boilers, central heating or air conditioning units........... $ 4.00 per unit (4) Inspection of vented wall furnaces and water heaters ............................... 4.00 per unit (5) Inspection following the dismantling of a gas piping system ......................... 8.00 (6) Reinspection fee ............................ 20.00 (7) Any and all fees shall be paid by the person to whom the permit is issued. Section 6. Severability. If any section, part of a section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance is for any reason held or declared to be unconstitutional, inoperative, or void, such holdings of invalidity shall not affect the remaining portions of this Ordinance, and it shall be construed to have been the legislative intent to pass this Ordinance without such un- constitutional, invalid or inoperative part therein, and the remainder of this Ordinance, after the exclusion of such part or parts, shall be deemed to be held valid as if such part or parts had not been included therein, or if this Ordinance or any of the provisions thereof shall be held inapplicable to any person, group of persons, property, kind of property, circumstances or set of circumstances, such holdings shall not affect the applicability 'thereof to any other person, property or circumstances. Section 7. Codification. This Ordinance shall be codified end made a part of the official Code of Ordinances of the Village ~f Tequesta, Florida. Section 8. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon its passage and approval. THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE was offered by Councilmember Carlton D. Stoddard who moved its adoption.
