HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_292_04/14/1981 QRDI NANCE NQ ~ 2'92 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, ANNEXING CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND TO THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA ~- 4~1HEREAS, Subsection 29 of Section 4.02 of Article`iV of the Charter of the Village of Tequesta grants the Village Council the power to annex any lands adjoining or within three miles of the territorial boundaries of said municipality upon the petition of the owner or owners thereof; and WHEREAS, Charles H. Johnston, Jr., Louise M. Johnston, Charles Nelson Cox, Frances T. Cox, Theodore E. Davis and Yizy Weingarten, the owners of certain parcels of land situated in Palm Beach County, Florida, have filed a petition with the Village Council requesting that their lands described therein be annexed to the territorial limits of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, AS FOLL04JS: Section 1. .That the parcels of land owned by Charles H. Johnston, Jr., Louise M. Johnston, Charles Nelson Cox, Frances T. Cox, Theodore E. Davis and Yizy Weingarten, and more particularly described as follows: A parcel of land lying in and being a part of Section 25, Township 40 South, Range 42 East, Palm Beach County, Florida; being more particularly described as follows: The East 240.0 feet of the West 660.0 feet of the Northwest quarter, (NW ;), of the Northeast quarter (NE 4), of said Section 25; less the North 640.0 feet thereof, together with the East one-half (2) of a parcel of land described as follows: the West three-quarters (3/4) of the Northwest one-quarter (4) of the Northeast one-quarter (;) of Section 25, Township 40 South, Range 42 East, less the West 660 feet thereof; and the West one-half (2) of a parcel of land described as follows: the West three-quarters (3/4) of the Northwest one-quarter (4) of the Northeast one-quarter (4) of Section 25, Township 4{3-Souk, Range 42 East, less the West 660 feet, thereof. are hereby annexed and incorporated into the Village of Tequesta, Florida with the same force and effect as though same had originally been .. • • -2- incorporated into the territorial boundaries thereof. Section 2. That said parcels of land shall be zoned R-1 Single Family Dwelling District. Section 3. That said parcels of land shall have a land use classification of low density (0 - 5.4 dwelling units per acre). Section 4. That said parcels of land shall be subject to all of the Ordinances, Regulations and Codes of the Village of Tequesta, except as herein above provided. Section 5. That this Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval and passage as provided by law. THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE was offered by Councilmember Carlton D. Stoddard who moved its adoption. The Ordinance was seconded by Councilmember Leslie A. Cook and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION AGAINST ADOPTION Leslie A. Cook Lee M.
