HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_289_01/13/1981e. .. • • ORDINANCE N0. 2$9 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, AMENDIivG THE OFFICIAL ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE SO AS TO PROVIDE A ZONING CHANGE FOR THE PROPERTY DESCRIBED HEREIN FROM C-2 - WHOLESALE COMMERCIAL AND LIGHT INDUSTRIAL TO C-1 - RETAIL COMMERCIAL AND FURTHER Ar1ENDING THE ZONIPdG ~4AP OF THE VILLAGE SO AS TO REFLECT SAID CHANGES. WHEREAS, in order to comply with the Land Use classification =_stablished in the Village of Tequesta Comprehensive Plan for the properties referenced herein it is necessary to rezone certain properties described herein from C-2 Wholesale Commercial and Light Industrial to C-1 Retail Commercial; and WHEREAS, the Village Council pursuant to Chapter 166.041 of the Florida Statutes has considered the proposed amendment to the honing Ordinance after duly advertising same and holding public iearings pursuant to law; and WHEREAS, the Village Council deems it to be in the best interest of the general welfare of the citizens of the Village of Cequesta to adopt said amendments to the Zoning Ordinance of the tillage of Tequesta; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE TILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, as follows: Section 1. The Official Zoning Ordinance and zoning map >f the Village of Tequesta, Florida, is hereby amended to provide that .he following described property is hereby rezoned from C-2 Wholesale commercial and Light Industrial to C-1 Retail Commercial. The East 25' of the Nortti 140' of the following described parcel of land: A parcel of land in Section 30, Township 40 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, more particularly described as follows: For a point beginning commence at a point in the South line of Section 30, Township 40 South, Range 43 East, at a distance of 215.21' West of the Southeast corner of the Southwest Quarter of the said Section; thence Northerly at right angles to said South line of Section 30, a distance of 300' to a point, said point being the point of beginning, and the Southeast corner of the tract of land herein described, thence continue Northerly on the same course a distance of 313.76' to a point; thence Westerly at right angles to the last described course a distance of 250'; thence Southerly at right angles to the last described course a distance of 313.76'; thence Easterly at right angles to the last described course a distance of 250' to the point of beginning. • . . 2. A parcel of land in Section 30, Township 40 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, being the westerly 200.25 feet as measured along the south line of Tequesta Drive of that part of southwest quarter (S~d 1/4) east of new right-of-way of Old Dixie Highway and north of Bridge Road in Official Record Book 2082, Page 1584 less the east 35f feet as measured along the south line of Tequesta Drive. 3. A parcel of land in Section 30, Township 40 south, Range 43 east, Palm Beach County, Florida, being the west 100± feet measured along the north line of Bridge Road of that part of the southwest quarter (SW 1/4) east of Old Dixie Highway (less the westerly 275.35 feet in Official Record Book 2082, Page 1584 and easterly 220 feet) lying between Bridge Road and Tequesta Drive. Section 2. The zoning map of the Village of Tequesta is hereby amended to reflect the aforementioned zoning changes. Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediatel upon its adoption and approval. THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE was offered by Councilmember Carlton D. Stoddard was seconded by Councilmember Leslie ~. COOk being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: FOR ADOPTION Leslie A. Cook Thomas J. Little W.H. Mapes, Jr. James H. Ryan Carlton D. Stoddard who moved its adoption.
