ORDINANCE NO. 2g1~,
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA,
FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 11-27 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINP.NCES OF THE VILLAGE TO
PROVIDE THAT-THE TAXES FOR ALL LICENSES
DESIGNATED THEREIN BE AMENDED TO PROVIDE,
BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1980, THP.T ALL
OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE TAXES LISTED THEREIN
WHICH ARE $100 OR LESS BE INCREASED TO AN
AMOUNT EQUAL TO 1000 IN EXCESS OF THE TAX
LISTED THEREIN; THAT ALL OCCUPATIONAL
LICENSE TAXES LISTED THEREIN BET[VEEN
$101 AND $300 BE INCREASED BY 50$ OF THE
AMOUNT STATED THEREIN; AND THAT ALL
OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE TAXES LISTED THEREIN
WHICH ARE IN EXCESS OF $300 BE INCREASED
BY 25o OF SAID AMOUNT. SAID INCREASES
SHALL NOT APPLY TO LICENSES GRANTED TO
ANY UTILITY FF,ANCHISED BY THE VILLAGE FOR
WHICH A FRANCHISE FEE IS PP.ID; PROVIDING
FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING APd EFFECTI~7E
DATE; PROVIDING FOR CODIFICATION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, as follows:
Section 1. Section 11-27 of the Code of Ordinances
of the Village of Tequesta entitled "Enumeration of License Taxes"
is hereby amended so as to provide that all license taxes listed
therein be increased as of October 1, 1980, in the manner and
amounts set forth as follows:
A. All license taxes listed therein which are $100 or
less shall be increased from the scheduled rate by 1000 of the amoun~
set forth therein.
B• All occupational license taxes listed therein which
are between $101 and $300 shall be increased from the scheduled rate
by 500 of the amount set forth therein.
C. All occupational license taxes listed therein which
are in excess of $300 shall be increased from the scheduled rate
by 250 of the amount set forth therein.
Section 2. A11 ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are repealed.
Section 3. That this Ordinance shall take effect upon
its approval and passage as provided by law, but no sooner than
October 1, 1980.

Section 4. This Ordinance upon approval shall be
codified into the Code of Ordinances for the Village of Tequesta.
The foregoing Ordinance was offered by Councilmember
Carlton D. Stoddard who moved its adoption. The motion was
seconded by Councilmember Leslie A. Cook , and upon being
put to a vote, the vote was as follows:

The A7ayor thereupon declared the Ordinance duly passed
and adopted on this 26 day of August 1980.
