AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, 1
AMENDING CHAPTER ELEVEN, LICENSES, AT SECTIONS 11-20 AND ~
11-24 BY AMENDING TRANSFER FEES AND REGISTRATION FEES,
BY AMENDING SECTION 11-24 RELATING TO DISABLED VETERANS,
ETC; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR
CODIFICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. ~c
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 11, Section 11-20, Transferability;
Fee, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"All licenses may be transferred to a new owner when
there is a bona fide sale of the business upon payment
of a transfer fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00) and
presentation of evidence of the sale and the original
license. Upon written request and presentation of the
original license, any license may be transferred from
one location to another location in the Village upon
payment of a transfer fee of twenty-five dollars
($25.00)."
Section 2. Chapter 11, Section 11-24, Exceptions, is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Disabled veterans, all confirmed cripples, deaf and
dumb persons and invalids physically incapable of manual
labor, widows with minor dependents and persons sixty-
five (65) years of age, or older, shall be allowed the
same exceptions as such persons are now or shall
hereafter be entitled to by law in connection with state
and county licenses."

Section 3. If any provision of this Ordinance or the
application thereof is held invalid, such invalidity shall not
affect the other provisions or applications of this Ordinance
which can be given effect without those invalid provisions or
applications, and to this end the provisions of this Ordinance
are hereby declared severable.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall be codified and made a
part of the Official Code of Ordinances of the Village of
Tequesta.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and approval, as provided by law.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE was offered by Councilmember
Earl L. Collings who moved its adoption.
This Ordinance was seconded by Councilmember Edtaard C . I-.olve 1 ,
and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows:
