AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA,
MAKING IT MANDATORY THAT ALL MATTERS RELATING TO
THE AUTHORIZATION OF THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS FOR
THE PURPOSES OF BORROWING MONEY BY THE VILLAGE
OF TEQUESTA BE ACCOMPLISHED BY ORDINANCE AND NOT
BY RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, the Charter of the Village of Tequesta provides for
the Power of Referendum as to Ordinances, but not as to resolutions
and;
WHEREAS, the Village Council is of the opinion that the
power of referendum should be made available to the citizens of the
Village of Tequesta in matters concerning the authorization of the
issuance of bonds as provided by the Village Charter and by Florida
Statutes.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF
TEQUESTA, FLORIDA:
Section 1. All matters concerning or relating to the
authorization of the issuance of bonds for the purpose of borrow-
ing money by the Village of Tequesta shall be presented to the
Village Council and accomplished in the form of an ordinance and
not by resolution.
Section 2. That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its
passage and approval as provided by law.
