Dear Mr. Couzzo: December 3, 2009
As we discussed, ARCADIS and our subconsultant, Bridge Design Associates, Inc.,
corms
have incurred the performance of work that is considered to be

This additional work
effort was due to the Village acquking FDOT s1 hulus fur0i for the bridge

construction which was not anticipated when this project first commenced. In order to
ensure that this project move forward expedtflously ARCADIS diligently moved

forward in addressing FDOT Issues relative to their internal requirements and
Tom.jensenCa rcadis-
sc hedules. As you know, this project was never intended to be a FDOT project, but
us.c om
once the FDOT stimulus funds were engaged, and FDOT was chosen as the
Administrator (The Village lacked LAP oertlfloation), the project quickly turned into a

full FDOT project, with numerous design and drawing format changes, technical
specification revisions, up -front document additions, cost estimatingl schedule of
value re -formatting, several design report submittals, numerous meetings with
Florida Licsnss Numbws
County and FDOT officials, all of which were completed within compressed

schedules so that the Federal stimulus funding time tables were met. All of this work

referenced above was completed between May and August 2009.

There was no time to sit down and determine what the FDOT required, as they Landscape Archhedure
themselves did not know what was expected of them. As they adopted the project as LC26000269
one of their own, they were constantly having internal issues as to how they could surveying
get this project through to Tallahassee with minimal impact. In the end, they had us LB7062
develop a modified version of a FDOT project which took considerable effort on our
part as you can see from the attached invoice.
The attached draft invoice for your consideration is in the amount of $108,548.44
which covers ARCADIS and Bridge Designs costs between May and August 2009.

Mike -
Thanks for the show of support today and for doing all of the "behind the scenes" work in order for us to get paid. As we
discussed, it will be better for Brian from a timing perspective if the Village could just cut his check separately. By copy of
this email to you I am requesting/approving for his check to be cut separately.
Our invoice, along with Brian's (see the note on this invoice stating who the payment should be made to) are attached.
Any questions let me know.
Thanks
