These families come directly from Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Bethesda Medical Center on a medical leave. While the soldiers are in the hospital, their families stay in efficiency apartments on the Medical Centers' campuses. All the families have to endure tremendous hardships as their loved ones fight to recover from life altering injuries. Bringing them to Florida for 5 days is possible due to the generous contributions of The Lankler Family who provide waterfront homes and the support of our residents, businesses and community leaders who want to honor these brave men and women. When their vacation is over, all the wounded military personnel must return to the hospital and years of rehabilitation. Three of the units used to house our heroes and their families are on Beach Road in Tequesta. Our organization is a 501 c (3) corporation. We have been very fortunate to receive a lot of positive press both locally and nationally. The support for this project has been overwhelming. We are requesting a fmancial contribution of $1000 to help us continue this worthy project. Thank you so much. In the last two years we have been responsible for collecting, packing and shipping over 300 boxes of donated items to our military.
