Re: Revision of Personnel Policy 7.7 -Vehicle Operation
The Human Resources department is requesting approval to revise the Vehicle
Operation policy. This has become necessary because it has come to our attention
that the Parks & Recreation employees transport passengers from time to time, and
there's currently no written documentation outlining the Village's standards and other
legal requirements.
All department heads were sent a draft and their feedback solicited, with Police, Fire
and Parks & Recreation submitting their comments which were incorporated into the
changes.

Keith,
I've added the language suggested below as it does make more sense. Additionally, I've added (Driver's
License} to clarify that policy 7.4 is a different policy to be referenced for more details on drivers'
licenses.

Merlene:
My only comments are to verify Village policy 7.4 is correct as
referenced. Also, under I1. PASSENGER VAN SAFETY, paragraph 2, why are
we limiting this to only vehicles "capable of carrying a minimum of fifteen (15)
passengers" `?? 1 would delete that language and require this of AI..L Village
passenger vehicles.
