WHITE, PUBLIC SERVICES MANAGER SUBJECT: TEQUESTA PARK BALL FIELD MAINTENANCE DATE: FEBRUARY 18, 2010 Attached, please find an agenda item for the above subject. Earlier this month I requested a three (3) year proposal for the Tequesta Park ball field maintenance. I utilized Demand Star for pricing. I received one (1) bid from that venue and one (1) bid from the current contractor. They were both competitive and very close. The first bid was from Sunshine Land Design Inc. of Port Salerno in the amount of $91,485.00 or $2,541.25 per month. The second bid was from Sheehan Turf Care, Inc. of Jupiter in the amount of $90,000.00 or $2,500.00 per month. Both amounts are less than what we are currently paying, $2,640.00 per month. I am recommending that we approve this proposal to Sheehan Turf Care Inc., of Jupiter. The annual cost is $30,000.00 we have budgeted $1?8,000.00 in the Landscape and Irrigation account for maintenance. (001-210 546.309) Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. RESOLUTION NO 3-10 A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING A THREE (3) YEAR PROPOSAL FROM SHEEHAN TURF CARE INC, OF JUPITER, FLORIDA, FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE BALL FIELDS AT TEQUESTA PARK IN THE AMOUNT OF $90,000.000 WITH FUNDING COMING FROM THE 210 ACCOUNT AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE. WHEREAS, The Village of Tequesta seeks to enter into a three (3) year proposal with Sheehan Turf care, of Jupiter Florida to maintain the Ball fields at Tequesta park as detailed in attached exhibit "A" which becomes part of this resolution. WHEREAS, The Village of Tequesta has approved funding in the FY 09/10 budget. WHEREAS, The Village of Tequesta has funding in the Landscape & Irrigation Account, numbered 001-210 546.309 with a annual budget of $178,000.00 and $25,000.00 being used this fiscal year for this maintenance, and will budget accordingly, $30,000.00 for the next two (2) fiscal years.
