Bridge contractor
may work Sundays
The Tequesta Village
Council, on first reading,
approved an ordinance
temporarily allowing a
contractor for the $3 million
Tequesta Bridge to work
between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.
on Sundays.
A second reading on the
ordinance is scheduled
for the Tuesday council
meeting.
The council amended
the proposed ordinance
so only quiet work could
be done Sunday, which
excludes pile driving. The
additional work would be
done on alternate Sundays,
not every Sunday, according
to Village Manager Mike
Couzzo. The ordinance
would end Sept. 30.
