Couzzo, Jr., Village Manager Honorable Mayor and Village Council Members FROM: Lori McWilliams, Village Clerk DATE: April 21, 2010 SUBJECT: Boards and Committee Appointments / Reappointments During the January Village Council Meeting, Council approved Ordinances 20 -09 and 21 -09. The Ordinances streamline the terms of the Village's Boards and Committees and appointments / reappointments will be made annually during the May Regular Council Meeting. The new process will create consistency and ease of recordkeeping for the Village Clerks Office. Vacancies will continue to be filled throughout the year as they arise and existing terms of current board members shall be adjusted to conform with the uniform May appointment date. Attached is a chart of the new term expiration dates for the Boards and Committee members. WHEREAS, at its January 23, 2010, the Tequesta Village Council amended its Boards and Committee Ordinance to make appointments to all the various Boards , Committees, and Commissions constituted by the Village Council by ordinance or resolution at the regular Village Council meeting held in May of each year. WHEREAS, vacancies occurring during the course of the year may be filled by the Village Council at any time.
