Just a reminder to submit your projects so that we can put them on a list for potential funding. DO NOT make this more than it has to be! BUT, be sure to submit your projects. If they are NOT on the list, then they CANNOT receive funding! If you are planning on submitting a project(s), the following information would be helpful, but is not necessary: • Is this a priority project for your entity and why, • Does this project have secured cost share and where is it coming from, • Have permits been secured for this project, • Can the construction schedule meet the fiscal year deadlines outlined below. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me. This request is District wide, not just for existing stormwater initiative areas. These funds are separate from the CBIR process (local initiatives) and there is the potential for allocations in FY11 depending on the budget development process. To that end, the Stormwater Division has been asked to develop a list of prioritized projects that could be accomplished in FY11. We are looking for local governmental projects that will be ready to execute cost share agreements in October 2010. Please send me priority stormwater projects for your respective governments that you would like to be considered by June 17 1h . Below is a list of criteria to determine the types of projects we will be funding with the Stormwater funds. Please include large and small cost share projects. Types of Stormwater projects for FY11 ad valorem cost share funding: • Projects that provide water quality treatment with or without flood protection improvements • Projects that provide flood protection improvements must also provide water quality improvements • Stormwater master plan development that includes water quality and flood protection improvements • Projects should be ready to begin in the first quarter of FY11 (October 1, 2010), short duration projects may begin in the second quarter of FY11 • Projects should be able to be completed (preferably) within FY11 but definitely before the end of FY12, projects continuing into FY12 must have at least one deliverable in FY11 and are subject to FY12 budget approval • Land acquisition is not preferred, but may be considered on case by case basis • Construction projects must have all applicable permits prior to agreement execution • Water quality benefits should be quantified. Projects that will not be funded: • Routine maintenance • Projects to meet permit mitigation requirements • Projects to meet non - compliance requirements If you have any questions, please call me at 772 223 -2600 x3603.
