MH Associates, Inc. 3 i ' � • • r r r D rZ tion ec� tr�►z e n t� P o � r�►z es c � The follo�ing is an outline of a program that is based on the current research a.rsociated zvith treatment programs zvith t the highe.rt recovery rate, and grounded on the .science of the neurophy.riology of addiction. , The four maior comUonents of the program include: 1.A cutting-edge Relapse Prevention program that contains a follow-up component, grounded in a � neuro h siolo 'cal understandin of addiction and rela se. 1' Y � g 1' � 2.A psychotherapeutic approach that teaches an individual to cope with the day to day stressors of life as well as quickly addresses and resolves the deeper psychological issues that may be associated ' with alcohol or substance abuse. 3.A Wellness approach that holistically addresses the healing of the person's body, brain, and � emotions. 4.An evidenced-based program that is constantly evaluating the outcomes, the strengths and the � weaknesses of the program to constantly improve the services and effectiveness of the program. � t m t t t a t at rt t e" ellness" a roach to treatment O her subco ponen s o he progr m h suppo h W pu � include: •Neurotherapy: A combination of neurofeedback, biofeedback, and computerized cognitive , rehabilitation, that assists with the regulation of physical states (improved sleep, improved emotional regulation, improved attention and concentration), helping the person decrease cravings, improve � cognitive functioning (memory, concentration, etc.) and increase the capacity to gain from treatment. 1 , • • � re�r tr�►� e n Pro r� r�►z es crZ tz o n t t •Hypnotherapy, augmenting the psychotherapy, giving the person self-hypnosis techniques to immediately shift out of the physiological and emotional states that are associated with cravings and 1 relapse. •Exercise in a built-in gym with a personal trainer, which, for physiological reasons, helps stabilize ' mood, and starts the erson on a health lifes le. 1' Y tY '�A nutritional component where the individual 1) is educated in the importance of proper nutrition as a component of emotional regulation and relapse prevention and 2) participates in hands-on ' classes in the kitchen with a chef who is familiar with nutrition, where they are trained to cook in a healthy manner. '•A stop-smoking component for those clients willing to commit to eliminating their smoking addiction. '•Most clients will experience a structured family program, in which the person's family or support 'system are brought into the program during the late stages of treatment, and involved in psycho- educational experiences and family therapy. '•Ongoing Recovery Coaching, with a certified Life Coach, which will start two weeks into the program, focusing on the combination of developing the relapse prevention plan, and on developing , a Life Satisfaction Plan (using the Life Satisfaction Questionnaire) to create a fulfilling life without substances. '�Weekly Psychiatric/Medical interventions to address initial issues of detox, as well as other � medication or medical issues. •Other anc�llary support�ve therap�st such as acupuncture, massage, on an as-needed basls.
