FOR THE INSTALLATION OF 2000 L. F. OF NEW SIDEWALK ON NORTH CYPRESS DRIVE IN THE AMOUNT OF $54,800.00 AND APPROPRIATING FUND BALANCE FROM THE CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND #303 IN THE AMOUNT OF $54,800.00 TO FUND THIS PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE MANAGER TO PROCEED ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, Residents of the Village of Tequesta petitioned the Village to install a sidewalk on North Cypress Drive (see attached petition); WHEREAS, The bid submitted by Sheltra & Son Construction Company, Inc., was the lowest of three bids submitted (see attachment); WHEREAS, This project was not budgeted it is necessary to Appropriate Fund Balance in the amount of $54,800.00 and increase the expenditure account Pathway and Sidewalk Improvements #303 - 321 - 663.652 respectively; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1 The Village Council hereby adopts Resolution #27 -10 awarding a contract to Sheltra & Sons Construction Company, Inc for the installation of a sidewalk on North Cypress Drive and appropriating Fund Balance in the Capital Projects Fund 303 to fund the project. The foregoing Resolution was offered by Council Member Turnquest who moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Council Member Humpage and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: For Adoption Against Adoption Mayor Pat Watkins X Vice -Mayor Tom Paterno ABSENT Council Member Vince Arena X Council Member Jim Humpage X Council Member Calvin Turnquest X The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed and adopted this 18 day of August, 2010.
