A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, AMENDING
AND INCREASING THE 201012011 GENERAL FUND #001
BUDGET BY $20,000 TO RECOGNIZE REVENUES AND FUND
EXPENSES RELATED TO PARTICIPATION IN THE PALM
BEACH COUNTY INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR LAW
ENFORCEMENT SERVICES BETWEEN PALM BEACH COUNTY
AND THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA TO PROVIDE INCREASED
PATROL AND LAW ENFORCEMENT WITHIN THE MANATEE
ENFORCEMENT AREA AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Village Council of the Village of Tequesta recognizes and joins
the Palm Beach County Commissioners in their desire to increase hours of law
enforcement patrol and enforcement in estuarine waters of Palm Beach County,
which will improve compliance with boater and manatee protection speed zones,
and reduce the risks to manatees and members of the public;
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to enter into an agreement for the
provision of an increased level of marine law enforcement services during
manatee season;
WHEREAS, This Interlocal Agreement is NON - MATCHING,
WHEREAS, there are no revenues or expenditures budgeted in the 2011
General Fund Budget for this purpose,
WHEREAS, the 2011 General Fund #001 budget should be increased as follows:
• Increase revenue from PBC Marine Law Enforcement services #001 -171-
342.110 - $20,000
• Increase expenditures for Police Operations /Overtime #001 - 175 - 514.100
- $20,000
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 Increasing the 2010/2011 General Fund #001 Budget by $20,000 to
recognize revenues and fund expenditures related to participation in the STATE OF
FLORIDA MANATEE PROTECTION PLAN is hereby approved and the Village
Manager of the Village of Tequesta is authorized to execute the same on behalf of the
Village.
Section 2 This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
The foregoing Resolution was offered by Council Member Humpage who moved its
adoption. The motion was seconded by Vice -Mayor Paterno and upon being put to a
vote, the vote was as follows:

The Mayor thereupon declared the Resolution duly passed and adopted this 4 day of
November 2010.
