HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance_95_10/13/1964 ORDINANCE DD . 95 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF FLORIDA LAWS, 1961, CHAPTER 61 -2944 TO ANNEX THE FOLLOWING DESCRIBED UNINCORPORATED AND CONTIGUOUS TRACT OF LAND, SITUATE, LYING AND BEING IN THE COUNTY OF PALM BEACH, STATE OF FLORIDA, TO -WIT: A parcel of land in Government Lot 2, Section 30, Town- ship 40 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, described as follows: Beginning at a point in the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1 (State Road No. 5), 1975.19 feet Southerly (measured along the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1) of the intersection of the North line of said Section 30 with the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1; thence Westerly, along a line parallel to the North line of Section 30, • distance of 604.89 feet; thence Northwesterly, along • line parallel to the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1, a distance of 250 feet; thence Westerly, along a line parallel to the North line of Section 30, a distance of 302.44 feet; thence Southeasterly, along a line parallel to the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1, a distance of 302.44 feet; thence Easterly, along a line parallel to the North line of Section 30, to a point in the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1; thence North- westerly along said centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1 to the point of beginning. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUIC IL OF THE VILLAGE OF TEQUESTA, FLORIDA: Section 1 . That pursuant to the provisions of Florida Laws, 1961, Chapter 61 -2944, it is hereby declaredtn be the intention of the Village of Tequesta, Florida, to annex the following described unincorporated and contiguous tract of land, situate, lying and being in the County of Palm Beach, State of Florida, to -wit: A parcel of land in Government Lot 2, Section 30, Town- ship 40 South, Range 43 East, Palm Beach County, Florida, described as follows: Beginning at a point in the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1 (State Road No. 5), 1975.19 feet Southerly (measured along the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1) of the intersection of the North line of said Section 30 with the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1; thence Westerly, along a line parallel to the North line of Section 30, a distance of 604.89 feet; thence North- westerly, along a line parallel to the centerline of I U. S. Highway No. 1, a distance of 250 feet; thence Westerly, along a line parallel to the North line of Section 30, a distance of 302.44 feet; thence South- easterly, along a line parallel to the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1, a distance of 302.44 feet; thence Easterly, along a line parallel to the North line of Section 30, to a point in the centerline of U. S. Highway No. 1; thence Northwesterly along said center- line of U. S. Highway No. 1 to the point of beginning; to the Village of Tequesta at the expiration of thirty (30) days from the approval and final passage of this Ordinance. Section 2 . That upon final passage this Ordinance shall there- upon be published once a week for four (4) consecutive weeks in some newspaper published in Palm Beach County, Florida, and three (3) printed copies of said Ordinance shall be posted for four (4) consecutive weeks at some conspicuous place in said Village, and three (3) copies shall in like manner be posted in said tract of land.
